The Rub Down

It seems like regression, but I’m at the rub down stage of the paint job. The nice glossy finish is good and glossy, but there’s several places where paint ran, and left globules and nodules… so I broke out a fresh pack of 600 grit wet and dry and set about the frame.

Pictures below…

This shows the colour I painted the whole bike the first time round, but I decided that it was all too brown. That, with brown leather bits and cream tyres… it was looking all a bit too… you get the idea. I like the flat colour – “Cappuccino” according to the can – and I’m keeping the chain case this colour, but all over the frame it was too much.
